Member House of Reps, Rt. Hon Kwamoti B. Laori, representing Member representing Numan/Demsa/Lamurde Federal Constituency has visited Gon and Bolki communities where he commiserated with victims of the recent violent communal clash in the area resulting in loss of lives and property.
Recall a recent violent communal clash in the troubled area of Tingno under Lammurde Local area of Adamawa state between the indigenous Chobok tribe and their Hausa settlers.
The lawmaker who toured the affected areas, comisirated with the people of both communities for their losses.
While addressing members of the community, Rt. Hon. Laori assured them of government’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property in the area forthwith.
He however cautioned against divisiveness and rumor mongering and passionately appealed for cooperation with the Armed Security Personnel deployed to Bolki Ward by availing them credible and timely information to enable them perform their duty more effectively.
The Hon member assured the people of continuous government support to enable them resume their normal productive lives without fear.
He also commended and assured them of the state government’s effort to palliate their sufferings.,
Go ernor Ahmadu Fintiri along with the state security chiefs had earlier on visited the area for an on the spot assessment.
Hon. Laori donated rice, mosquito nets and mats amongst other items to the people. He was accompanied in the visit by Hon. Pwamwakeino Makondo, Prof Dishi Khobe, Innocent Koto and Alhassan Geoffrey.
